Hi, when I built my PC I bought 2400 mhz Corsair Vengeance RAM and put it in my list (on PC Partpicker) and it said that it was compatible with my motherboard (Z97 PC Mate) and my CPU (an i7-4790k). I thought that my ram was working at full speed until I checked CPU-Z. According to the application my RAM is only going at 1200mhz which is barely it officially supports DDR4-2666Mhz. many people run DDR4-3000Mhz. i believe only few people can get it to run DDR4-3200Mhz. there are benchmarks on Zen 2 based processors with different memory speed. the difference between 3000Mhz and 3200Mhz is 1-2% in gaming. so for your case, maybe we are looking at at-most 5% diff between 2400Mhz and 3000Mhz. jD6Pkwq.
